The World Health Organization known as the WHO sent investigators to Wuhan in January. The team was sent to investigate the origins of the virus that was first seen in Wuhan China in December of 2019. The virus was said to have originated from animals but there was speculation that it may have come from a lab in Wuhan. The investigators went to the lab and met with many people in a 3 hour visit.
It will likely be many years until we know exactly what animal or where the virus came from.
