A newly developed brain implant has the ability to change a persons mood from there smartphone. The implant was invented by Korean scientists at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and operates using LEDs the size a grain of salt. They have even worked out a way to charge the device from outside the body.
The device works with bluetooth-enabled nanochips and uses light to emit messages to the brain’s neurons. It has the ability to send messages to the brain and change it’s mood. This invention can be a massive breakthrough for the medicine industry and scientists believe it could eventually be used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and depression.
