Georgia is one of the many swing states where Republicans are trying to pass voting legislation after the 2020 election. The Georgia House passed a new bill on voting brought by Republicans. The bill is one brought forth by Republicans meant to “restore public confidence” in future elections. The bill would require future voters to use a photo ID for absentee voting, limit the amount of time voters have to request an absentee ballot amongst other things. The bill now heads to the Georgia Senate for more debate.
The Georgia House passed the bill with a 97 to 72 vote.
