Exclusive Interview: Yoni Z Reveals Details On His NEW Album

We Interviewed Yoni Z, Here’s how it went…

Jewish Hock: Growing up when did you know you were gonna be a singer?

Yoni Z: I didn’t. It kinda happened as a teenager at 15. I never really sang publicly prior, I was too shy.

Jewish Hock: What was your favorite song you’ve worked on so far?

Yoni Z: So far, it would probably be Crown, but this upcoming album is really one big load of fun.

Jewish Hock: If you could perform with any 1 person who would you pick?

Yoni Z: I grew up on Avraham Fried and MBD, so its one of the 2

Jewish Hock: Who was your biggest inspiration in Jewish Music?

Yoni Z: Mikol Melamdai Hiskalti, but I think my biggest overall influence was Yishai Lapidot. He took Jewish music and brought the entertainment factor to the table.

Jewish Hock: What would you tell the many fans that want to know what goes into releasing an album?

Yoni Z: I cant speak for other singers or creators, but for me its putting every vestige of creative energy into each detail and its so much more than meets the eye. And then there’s the music videos.

Jewish Hock: How’s the new album coming along? When can we expect a release?

Yoni Z: Its coming along really well BH, I think its better than my first and I’m hoping you’ll have it this Purim.
