Nintendo’s profit nearly doubled in the last 9 months. The Covid19 Pandemic caused many to stay home which resulted in many more people playing games.
The video-game makers profit surged to $3.6 billion from $1.8 billion the previous year. Ninteno is behind the some very popular games such as Super Mario and Pokeman.
Nintendo sold over 25 million Switch consoles in the last year. The latest numbers show Switch sales are still going strong, compared to the same period a year earlier.
Though it may seem Nintendo has benefited from the Covid-19 Pandemic they did have a major setback. Super Nintendo World, built with Universal Studios is a Nintendo theme park that is supposed to open in Japan. The pandemic obviously caused this to be delayed. The park is scheduled to open in February but the location it’s in is currently under a state of emergency due to a surge in cases so the opening will likely be delayed.
